Flying Crown Racing Grabs First Victory Of Season At Marysville Raceway Park

Flying Crown Racing and driver Terry Schank Jr had an impressive start to the 2008 racing season at the newly re vamped Marysville Raceway Park.  The Matt Fontaine owned Color Horizons Maxim was fast out of the box as Schank had the gold and black 2x setting the pace for the wingless warriors in hot laps according the transponder readings.  The first event up for the duo was the dash for cash, a race that pitted the fastest cars in hot laps up against each other for $100.Schank did all he could to get the Pronol Race Fuel car to the front, but passing was at a premium and he finished last.
During heat race action the Flying Crown Racing machine was operating and muscled its way from the 7th starting spot to win the race going away.  Prior to the feature event Fontaine went into his Jimmy Sills set up book and borrowed a set up from the wizard of MRP and it was to Schank’s liking.  After lining up 4th in the feature event the Santa Rosa native wasted no time working his way to the front and made a lap five low side pass coming out of turn four that turned about to be all he needed.  Schank went on to win in convincing fashion and was never really challenged for the lead.
